Vala B. Newton, 97, of Magnolia, Ark., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011. She is survived by four daughters, Ann Broach of Hampton, Ark., Dianna Gail and Cleon Silence of Hot Springs, Ark., Brenda and Kenneth Thompson of Magnolia, Sissy and David Rich of Magnolia; five sons, W.T. "Figero" Newton of Magnolia, Don and LeAnn Newton of Hot Springs, Bobby Newton of Magnolia, Danny Newton of Magnolia, Sammy "Bubba" and Reba Newton of Maumelle, Ark. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial be at 2 p.m. at Moore's Chapel Cemetery on Little Bay Road in Hampton, Ark., under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. Family visitation will be on Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
