Stephen Hamilton Winn

Stephen Hamilton Winn, 61, of Little Rock, passed away January 13, 2011. He was born December 20, 1949 to the late Bruce and Phyllis Winn. Steve is survived by his brother Mike Winn, cousins; Allen and Sandy Winn; Gary, Janet and Lucy Ford, Aunts; Quanita Winn, Barbra Ford and Uncle Bruce Suter. He was preceded in death by his brothers; David, Bruce, and Larry Winn and his uncle James Winn. Steve was stationed for eight years in the Navy out of San Diego, California. He was a medic in charge of a ward in the hospital there and then served 8 more years in the National Guard. Steve finished off getting his degree in Psychology using the GI Bill. He worked in the child psychology field after that and did volunteer work with the Big Brothers program. He then worked in the paramedic field for a few years until going to work at St. Vincent's hospital. For the last 15 years Steve worked at Baptist Hospital in operating and recovery. He enjoyed working in the medical field and helping others. Steve's hobbies were horse racing and yard work. He took care of several senior citizens yards on the weeks ends. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home.
