Buford Sue Miller

Buford Sue Maxwell Miller, age 83, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011. She was born on May 12, 1927 in Parkdale, Ark. to her parents, Buford Wallace and Fannie Sue Stinson Maxwell. She was a long time public servant to the City of Crossett retiring as city treasurer and, after retirement, was elected to the Crossett City Council. Mrs. Miller was a lifelong member of Wallers Chapel Methodist Church and loved her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lemmie Lee Miller, her parents. one sister, Myrtle Forrest, seven brothers, Lucian, Homer, James Daniel, Woodrow, Terry, Lester and Pete Maxwell and a special nephew, Billy Smith. Survivors include a son, Gary Lee Miller of Crossett and a daughter, Beverly Kaye Miller of Lonoke, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Wallers Chapel Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
