Ada Mae Kyzer of Mabelvale was gathered by angels and carried away January 26, 2011 to live in the Master's Bouquet. She was the daughter of Ollie and Opal Lawrence and was born on November 27, 1934 in Sidon, Arkansas. Preceded in death were her loving husband of 39 years, David Kyzer; her parents; her loving mother-in-law, Dean Kingston; brothers, Jimmy Dale and Billy Gene Lawrence of Searcy; partner and friend of 13 years, Gail Horst. She is survived by son, Dr. Michael Kyzer of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Mary Norman of Omak, Washington and Betty Wooten of Higginson; her brother's widow, Mary Lawrence of Searcy; three step-children, Gail Horst Jr.; Ann and Ronnie Shue and Sheila and Bob Sheridan of Sumter, South Carolina; step-grandchildren, Brittany and Kylie (Horst); Wesley and Hannah (Shue); David and Shana (Sheridan); and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and very special caregivers, Linda Bauer and Kay Hunt (Home Care Professionals). Mae retired from the Little Rock School District after working 20 years. She enjoyed collecting recipes and cooking, especially for her family, and she was an avid gardener with a yard that was the envy of the neighborhood. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing, having made many of her own clothes early in her life. Her life was centered around her son, and she was very proud of him and all of his achievements for which he worked so hard and for what he has become today. Visitation and celebration of her life will be from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the funeral home with Minister Gail Horst Jr. officiating. Burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Antioch, Arkansas.
