Bodie W. Smith

BODIE W. SMITH, 77, of Mabelvale, passed away Jan. 28, 2011. He was born July 8, 1933 in Cleburne County to the late Willie Boyd and Sara Selena Holliman Smith. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Gwendolyn Fay Smith Wise and a son-in-law, Rickey Lee Davis; brother, Olen Smith and sisters, Cloie May Presley and Glodean Snowden. Mr. Smith attended Forest Tower Baptist Church and will be remembered for his vegetable gardens and how he loved to piddle with his cows. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Laverne, of the home; daughters, Wilda Smith Davis of Pangburn, Beverly Smith Hogg of Sherwood, Glenda Smith Dodd and husband Troy of Little Rock; and a son-in-law, Gary Wise; brothers Ivon Smith and Odas Smith; sisters, Merlean Smith and Imogene Rowe; 15 grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
