Thomas Truitt Hayes

Thomas Truitt Hayes, age 76, of DeWitt died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. He was born Aug. 25, 1934 in Crocketts Bluff to Thomas and Mamie Hayes. He was an electrician, served in the US Navy and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Wallace Hayes, children, Teresa Barrentine and husband Gary of Little Rock, Thomas Fletcher Hayes and wife Jackie of Wasilla, Alaska, Mary-Ann May of Mountain View, Wanda Jean Wilkinson of Dallas, Texas, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ruby Williams and Evelyn Epperson. Graveside services will be 2 Monday, Jan. 31 at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home.
