Dan Allen McDonald

Dan Allen McDonald, age 94, and a lifelong resident of Little Rock, Arkansas was called to his eternal home on July 13, 2011 a short day of reaching his 95th birthday. Dan was born on July 14, 1916 in Little Rock to his late parents Augustus and Nellie Pefha McDonald. Throughout his life, Dan was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He could fix anything and if he didn't have the tools, he would make it himself. Dan served in the Army Air Corp during WWII as an aircraft mechanic with the rank of Staff Sergeant and later retired from ABF after 31 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Clara McDonald; one son Mike McDonald (Bonnie); two daughters, Becky Williams (Garry ) of Texas and Theresa Broadwater; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. A visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2011 with a Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
