A. B. Bocksnick

A.B. Bocksnick, 89, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his home. He was born October 29, 1921, at London, to Bruno and Pearl Fenelle Bocksnick. He was the former owner of the Pine Bluff Body Shop and the Coffee Cup Restaurant, both in Pine Bluff. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, a former member of the Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was a member of the Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lewis, Bruno and Phil Bocksnick; a sister, Jewell Hartwick; a grandson, Nathan McCandless; and a granddaughter, Dawn Bocksnick. Survivors include his wife, Opal Bocksnick; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dwight Bocksnick of Flint, Michigan, Larry and Glenda Bocksnick of Pine Bluff, and Danny and Dyanna Bocksnick of Russellville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Tom Ramsey of Dover, and Pam and Chris Bubbus of Russellville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie and Elaine Bocksnick of London, and Herman and Ann Bocksnick of Russellville; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Victory Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Danny Fudge and the Rev. Doug Hambrick. Graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Pinecrest Memorial Park at Alexander, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Active pallbearers will be Ken Storm, Don McCaslin, Clay Simpson, Tony Moore, Steve Long, Mike Goodson and Gary Simmons. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
