Margie Lou Place

Margie Lou Place, 75, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, in Granbury. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Gillett, Ark. Pastor Chad Philipp will officiate. Mrs. Place was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Gillett, Ark., to Herman and Lena Schmidt Holzhauer. She married Gerald Place, Dec. 26, 1954, in Gillett. She was a computer analyst for Bank of America. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Gerald Place in 1977; and brother, Neal Holzhauer. Survivors: sons, Gordon J. Place and wife, Debra, of Granbury, Kirk Place and wife, Michelle of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Laura Walker Place, Cody Polvado, Stephanie Holder; one great-grandson; brother, Harvey Holzhauer of Gillett; sisters, Florence Piver of Bishopville, S.C., Hazel McCauley of Pine Bluff, Ark.
