Matthew Charles Hightower

Matthew Charles Hightower, 9, of Sherwood, went to Heaven on June 4, as a result of a dirt bike accident. He was born March 12, 2002 in Little Rock. Matthew had just finished third grade at Westside Elementary in Cabot. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and angler. Matthew enjoyed reading, drawing, and video games. His kind and nurturing disposition made him a great tutor for fellow classmates. He is survived by his parents, Jess and Carly Hightower of Sherwood; brothers, Jacob and Jordan Hightower; sister, Meagan Hightower; grandparents, Mike and Rita Hilger Davison, Art and Donna Davis, Rick and Joyce Hightower; aunt Cristen Filyaw; uncles, Cody Davison, Will Hightower, and Andy Filyaw; great aunt, Virginia Mouzy; cousins, Aiden and Connor Filyaw and Jade and Atom Camp. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-1:45 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Providence Cemetery.
