Phellam Hewitt

Phellam Francis Hewitt, 83 of Jacksonville, died on Friday, June 3, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Honorata Hewitt of Jacksonville; five children, Johnny Fishburn, Denise Cooper, and Robin Palmer, all of Fort Worth, Texas, Sue Thomas of Concord, North Carolina, and Deborah Clark of Paradise, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Jastia Hewitt. He served in the U.S. Army, and he also worked as a chef for 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and friends. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
