Elaine Warner Gauntt

ELAINE WARNER GAUNTT, age 91, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died June 14, 2011. She was the widow of J.E. Gauntt. They were married for almost 54 years. She was born in Little Rock in 1920 to Roberta C. and George Washington Warner. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Jim (Jan) Gauntt of Little Rock, Allen (Sara) Gauntt of Bryant, and Perry Gauntt (Lisa Ferris) of Little Rock; grandchildren Wendy Gauntt of St. Louis, Mo., Scott Gauntt (Lori) of Paragould, Tara Gauntt of Douglasville, Ga. and Barry Gauntt of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Jamisen Gauntt. Elaine was a member of South Highland Baptist Church for almost 75 years, having joined in 1935. She graduated from Little Rock High School in 1938. She retired from Lions Club International. In her later years, she enjoyed many friends and activities at the Good Shepherd Retirement Center. Most recently she lived at Presbyterian Village. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17th, at Forest Hills Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dan Cooper officiating.
