Grover H Freeman

Grover H. Freeman, 86, died June 14, 2011, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Marmaduke on August 20, 1925, to Truman H. and Clara Freeman. Grover was an accountant and served as Past-President of the State Board of Accountancy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served on several church committees. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mona Howe Freeman; a brother, Truman H. Freeman Jr.; and a sister, Martha Freeman. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Robert Guy of Jonesboro; his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Freda Freeman of Conway; two nieces, Jenny Mitchell (Steve) of Jonesboro and Pat Hughey (John) of Joneboro; two sisters, Glenda Harris and Carolyn Bigham of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Amber Warren, Alex Freeman, Ashley Salge, Justin Mitchell, Kristin Mitchell, Abigail Hughey and Hanna Hughey; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. in Langford-Bookout Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, June 16, 20ll, with Rev. John Miles officiating. Interment will be held in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Active Pallbearers will be Alex Freeman, Justin Mitchell, Robert Guy, Rex Salge, Scott Bell, and James McDaniel. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro.
