Helen Stinson

Mrs. Helen Stinson died on May 9, 2011, in Westerville, Ohio. She was born November 30, 1919 in Massena, Iowa, to the late Margaret V. and James A. Saunders. She and her late husband, Chet Stinson, lived in Russellville for a number of years. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Raymond and Ronald Fairholm and eight siblings. Helen was a joyful, happy person who worked tirelessly with Chet in several business ventures. For Helen, helpmate was not just a word; it was a way of life. She also worked in several area restaurants and as a care-giver for a number of years. She is survived by her grandsons, Eric Fairholm and his wife Chesta and their children of Chesterfield, Indiana and Rob Fairholm and his wife Teresa and their children of Grove City, Ohio. Her brother, Wayne R. Saunders of Pasadena, California survives. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Victoria Fairholm of Chesterfield and Donna Rust of Oregon. Her nephew Bob Humbard and his wife Martha of Hot Springs Village and their children, and her niece Brenda Pearce and her husband Mike of Huntsville, Alabama, and their children also survive her. In addition, Helen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including her niece, Mrs. Linda Cianfracci of Westerfield, Ohio, who so lovingly cared for Helen during her final illness. Helen's family wishes to express a special word of gratitude to Mrs. Jean Talley, who was such a good friend to Helen during the time she lived in Russellville. A good friend, especially on like Jean, is rare, indeed, and truly a gift from God.
