Mary E Thompson

Mary E. Thompson, 89, died June 14, 2011 at Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 28, 1922 in Carbondale, Illinois to OW and Anna J (Searcy) Deaton. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Thompson. Mary loved children and helping others. She was a wonderful cook, specializing in cakes and breads and up until 4 years ago was still creating many unique and special cakes. She also enjoyed sewing, crochet, embroidery. She was survived by her son, Michael F Thompson of Von Ormy, Texas and two daughters Sandra Escamilla of San Antonio, Texas and Shirley Cottingham of Rogers. Mary also leaves seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings Esther E. Sager and Robert W. Deaton and her daughter Mary "Esther" who passed away on May 28, 2007. A private service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Ark., where she will be laid to rest by her husband.
