Nellie Bernice Payer Allen

Nellie Bernice Payer Allen, age 90, died June 15, 2011. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by husband, Richard Allen; parents, William and Ethel Payer; brother, Ernest Payer; sister, Ruby Fortune; and son-in-law, Don McSwain. Survivors include four children, Dickie (Judy) Allen, Ronny (Sherry) Allen, Carl (Glenda) Allen, and Judy McSwain all of DeWitt; two brothers, Leon Payer of Mabelvale, Billy Dean Payer of Stuttgart; four sisters, Ruth McGaughey of Casscoe, Lorene Leder, Edna Wright both of DeWitt, Dorothy Wilks of Hunter; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening at Essex Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2011 at First Baptist Church with burial in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home.
