Etta Christine Barnes

Etta Christine (Snyder) Barnes, of Lonoke was called home to be with our Lord on June 15, 2011. She was born to Artie Snyder and Hattie Corinne Marbery on December 15, 1932. She was a faithful member of Steel Bridge Baptist Church since 1967. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, sister, Margaret Tidwell and grandson, Terry Lynn Barnes. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Jowel Barnes, brother, Charles (Faye) Snyder of Mississippi, daughter, Barbara (Hoyt) Monroe, son, Doug (Glenda) Barnes both of Lonoke, and son, Terry (Annette) Barnes of Jacksonville, grandchildren, David (Michele) St. John Jr., Heather (Ernest) Hill, Lathan (April) Barnes, Jason Barnes, Jeremy Barnes, Krystle Barnes and Haley McMahon, great-grandchildren, Kaylee Christine St. John, Allie Marie St. John, Brooke Nicole Hill, Holden Hoyt Hill and William Barnes and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday June 18, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke with burial following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
