Helen Goode, 86, of Cabot went to be with the Lord June 16, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 14, 1924. She was a 50-year faithful member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church where she spent many years as a Daycare worker. Helen was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, aunt, sister and friend. She was a special person who found hope and peace in her Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Burrows, grandson Greg Rester and a brother Pete Ginaris. Survivors are her husband of 67 years, Malvin Goode, a daughter, Sandra (Maury) Rester of Fort Worth, Texas, son-in-law, Larry (Brenda) Burrows Sr. of Bryant, two grandchildren, Larry (Stephanie) Burrows Jr. of Jacksonville, Kristi (Mike) York of Waco, Texas, three great-grandchildren, Kinley Burrows, Clayton Burrows, and Kimberly Ann York. Also surviving, brother, John Ginaris of Danville, special aunt Emma of North Little Rock, sisters-in-law, Hazel Lyons of Lonoke, Margaret Mitchell of Memphis, Tenn., Jean Ginaris of West Monroe, La., Evelyn (Curt) Kinnett of Houston, Texas, brother-in-law, Floyd Hughes of Perryville, one special niece, Lori (Art) Cole and one special great-nephew, Parker Cole, along with other nieces, nephews and numerous friends. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Friday, June 17 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 18, at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, with burial to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice.
