Thelma Smith Peck 91 of Bryant passed away on June 15, 2011. Thelma was born on April 30, 1920 to Earl Fair and Doll Crook in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Peck was very involved with the Bryant Senior Adult Center, where she loved to play cards and dominos with all her friends at the center. She was a member and taught Sunday School for over 30 years at Trinity Baptist Church. Thelma greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was currently a member of Christ Church. Mrs. Peck is preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, Charles E. Smith; husband, Dennis W. Peck; three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Moor (William); two sons, Edward E. (Guy) Smith and Earnest (Bud) Smith; nine grandchildren, Butchie Hillman Smith, Dawn Renee' Copeland, Paula Vanlandingham, Angela Denise Moore, April Chenault, Dennis Holland, Jessica Taylor, Amber Carter Jones and Tommy Rachel Ketcheside; nine great-grandchildren, Taylor Ann Moore, Travis Copeland, Jake W. Moore, Robert Daniel Hillman, Catherine Vanlandingham, Kristen Vanlandingham, Andrew Vanlandingham, Lauren Taylor and Kamyron Holland; three sister; five brothers and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly. A celebration of Thelma's life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 12 p.m. at Christ Church 11800 Vimy Ridge Road. Visitation will be Friday, June 17, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Bryant Senior Adult Senior in Thelma's memory.
