Harold E. Shepherd

Harold E. Shepherd age 85 of Arkadelphia died Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Arkadelphia. He was born August 23, 1925 in Fendley, Ark. the son of Jessie Elmore and Leona "Onie" Deaton Shepherd. He was the owner and operator of Arkadelphia Plumbing and Heating, a Mason, former Chief of the Arkadelphia Fire Department and member of the Arkadelphia Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Francis Shepherd, one son Ron Shepherd and his wife Lisa of Decauter, Ala., one daughter, Terri Evans of Benton, two sisters, Jean Walter of Lafayette, Calif. and Christell Corn of Arkadelphia, four grandchildren, Ashley Plyler, Amanda Shepherd, Cody Evans and Blake Shepherd, one great-grandchild, Kennedy Plyler. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Brother Jim Buie officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
