Georgia Ray, 90, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Friday, June 17, 2011, at The Gardens at Whispering Knoll. She was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Humphrey to Clea Lynn and Margrette Adaline Hand Jones. Mrs. Ray was educated at England and Keo High Schools. She had worked for 35 years at Davis and Jefferson Regional Medical Center, before retiring as an LPN in 1986. Mrs. Ray was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, working in her yard and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Leo Ray; a son, Billy Gene Ray; a daughter, Margaret Ann Smith; her parents; brothers, Rudon Jones, Billy Jones; a sister, Mable Keyes; and a grandchild, Teri Ray. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Louise Weger of Pine Bluff; sons, Charles Arthur Ray of Harrison, Robert Leo Ray of Alexander; a brother, Felix Jones of North Little Rock; sisters, Blanch Bowlin of Carlisle, Nellie Burlison of Little Rock; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Monday, from 2 p.m. until service time at Robinson's. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Steve Monk officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
