Jerry Lee Thomas

JERRY LEE THOMAS, age 73, of Little Rock, Ark., died Friday, June 17, 2011 at St. Vincent's Infirmary Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 24, 1937 in Little Rock to the late James A. and Annie Janski Thomas. Jerry worked for the United States Postal Service starting as a mail sorter and then working his way up as Superintendent of Logistics and Distribution before retiring after 27 years of service. In addition, he was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was aboard the USS Intrepid. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jimmie Dot Thomas; three children, Craig Thomas (Jessie) of Maumelle, Ark., Chris Thomas (Shelly) of Mabelvale, Ark. and Carma Tollett (Bud) of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Glen Thomas (Vedna Mae) of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Wanda Koon (Charles) of Paron, Ark. and Shirley Eslick of Alexander, Ark.; six grandchildren, Keri Thomas (Krista) of Little Rock, Ark., Ashli Thomas of Maumelle, Ark., Dakota Tollett and Montana Tollett both of Little Rock, Ark. and Bryce Thomas and Brantley Thomas both of Mabelvale, Ark.. He is preceded in death by his brother Seth Thomas and sister Billie Jo Knabe. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Pastor Tony Minick officiating.
