Versie Shirron Key Tilley

VERSIE SHIRRON KEY TILLEY, 96, of Jacksonville, Ark., passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011 in Jacksonville, Ark.. She was of the Methodist Faith. A long time resident of Camden, Ark., Versie had moved to Jacksonville in 2003 to be near her son, Tommy Key. Versie Louise Shirron was born in Dallas County, Ark. on March 9, 1915 to Jim and Sally Shaddock Shirron. She married Clarence Key on Dec. 7, 1935. Clarence passed away on their 10th wedding anniversary. Versie married Wardie Tilley in 1949. Wardie passed away in 1965. Besides her husbands, and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Key; sisters, Ora Belle, Elizabeth, and Alpha; brothers, Bo, Guy, Bennie, Clyde, and Morgan. Versie is survived by her son, Tommy Key and wife, Joyce of Jacksonville, Ark.; two sisters, Frances Grisham of Camden, Ark. and Dorothy Denton of Sparkman, Ark.; brother, Melvin Shirron of Camden, Ark.; daughter-in -law, Barbara Key of Camden, Ark.; six grandchildren, Debbie Key, Sydney Schalchlin (Todd), and Jimmie Sue Key all of Camden, Ark., Stephanie Key (Brandon Coats) and Melissa Matus (Steve) both of Jacksonville, Ark.; and Calvin Key (Tara) of Holmen, Wis.; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Mrs. Tilley will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Old Holly Springs Cemetery, with Rev. Stanley Clemons officiating. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Monday, June 20, at the funeral home.
