Raymond O'Neal Russell

Raymond O'Neal Russell, 77, of Marvell, Arkansas passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 in Marvell. Mr. Russell was born December 16, 1933 at Turner, Arkansas to the late Ollie and Lilly Mae Higginbotham Russell. He was a farmer and a member of the Marvell United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Russell of Marvell; two sons, Mike Russell (B.J.) of Marvell and Scott Russell (Sherry) of St. Charles, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Joey, Cody, Ashley, Jeffrey, Taylor, Sarah, and Kaitlyn; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Davis and Francine Sherrod (Marvin) both of Cypert, Arkansas; five brothers, James "Glen" Russell of Oklahoma, Stanley Russell of Turner, Bill Russell (Sue) of Turner, Gene Russell (Patty Sue) of Marvell, and Pat (Bobbie) of Marvell; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Norman Russell. Funeral services for Raymond O'Neal Russell will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Marvell United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. The Reverend Kirk Doering will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. Pallbearers are Kenneth Guest, Billy Ray Logan, David Wyssbrod, John Harris, Donald Ray Washburn, and Robert Allen Schaffhauser. Honorary pallbearers are Franklin "Buddy" Broom and Shelby Ellenburg.
