Rev. Joe M. Holladay, 85, of Little Rock, passed away June 20, 2011. He was born in Jonesboro to Loyd E. and Minnie Bell King Holladay. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a Church of the Nazarene minister for over 47 years in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Mississippi. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Juanita Rea Holladay; daughters, Jonita and husband, Rev. Gary Tatum of Conway, and Rita and husband, Rev. Mike Shirley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sons, Thomas Holladay of Conway and Timothy Holladay and wife, Trena of Flintstone, Georgia; sisters, Aline Davis of Little Rock and Margaret Montgomery and husband, Henry of Arkadelphia; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, June 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Wednesday, June 22 at 2 p.m. at Little Rock's First Church of the Nazarene, 1200 N. Mississippi, officiated by Dr. Dan Casey. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 1200 N. Mississippi, Little Rock, Ark. 72207.
