Lauren Rene' Crook-Hiblong, 22, of Benton, Arkansas, went to be with our Lord after a five year battle with cancer on Saturday, June 25th, 2011. Lauren was a loving daughter, sister and wife to be. She was always willing to help others and very strong in her Faith. An outstanding student, she graduated from Southwest Christian Academy in 2006 as class Valedictorian. She attended Ouachita Baptist University working toward a degree in speech pathology with a minor in Christian ministries. Lauren was born to Lisa and Lance Crook on July 26, 1988. She was an avid reader and loved to travel including trips to Mexico, 2 trips to Italy and one to Africa. Lauren was an accomplished athlete playing on numerous competitive ball teams, she loved to volunteer, serving on the Mayor's Youth Council and as President of the Junior Volunteer Program at Saline Memorial Hospital. Throughout her courageous battle with cancer, Lauren always kept her faith in God. She is survived by her fiancee, Paul Hiblong, her sister, Leah Crook and her parents, Lisa and Lance Crook, her in laws David and Vickie Hiblong, brother in law Mark Hiblong, her grandmother Morese Heath, her great aunt Pam Cooper, great-aunt Beverly Jones, her aunts and uncles; Ron and Ann Heath, Lonnie Heath, Freddy Heath, Darrell Heath, Kyle and Tonya Crook, Denise Crook; numerous cousins and a host of other extended family and friends. Lauren was preceded in death by her grandfather, Boda Heath and her grandparents Ron and Sandra Crook and her aunt Deborah Heath. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the medical staff at UAMS and Arkansas Hospice Home Care for their wonderful care, support and love for Lauren during this journey. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. Lauren's online guest registry is available at www.griffinleggettforesthills.com.
