SUE THOMPSON THWEATT, 79, died March 5, 2011. She was the daughter of Pauline Barringer Thompson and Hugh Emmet Thompson. She was born on Aug. 15, 1931 in Little Rock and grew up in Jacksonville. She graduated from Jacksonville High School, Little Rock Junior College and attended UALR. She was an active member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Little Rock School District. She remained active socially until her last week. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Edgar Thweatt of Little Rock, children, James Talmadge (Marilyn) Thweatt of Benton, Robert Thompson Thweatt of Baton Rouge, and Sarah Sue "Sally" (Brandon) Patterson of Little Rock; one grandson, Zachary Patterson and one granddaughter, Jennifer (Curtis) Carter and three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Elizabeth and Jonathan Carter; two sisters, Mary Lynn (Max) Watkins and Joyce (Glen) Isaacs; one brother, E.P. Diggs and numerous nieces and nephews. A private interment will be held at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Memorial services will be conducted by Dr. Randy Hyde on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church with a reception following at the church in Hicks Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 2200 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock, Ark., 72205.
