Shirley Ann Hagemann Watson, 81, of Maumelle and formerly of North Little Rock, died Tuesday, March 8. Born Aug. 2, 1929, in Denver, Colo., to Frederick and Floretta Hagemann, she married Albert Palmer Watson in 1946 and spent many years moving around the country and even overseas as a dedicated Army officer's wife. Upon Mr. Watson's military retirement, the couple settled in North Little Rock, where Mrs. Watson worked at both Lakehill Pharmacy and the North Little Rock Times. After moving to Cabot for seven years, the couple retired to Maumelle in 1987, where they became active members of the First Baptist Church. In addition to volunteering with teens and seniors, Mrs. Watson enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading and playing games of all kinds. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother Richard Hagemann. She is survived by sons Alan Watson of Maumelle, and Philip Watson of Benton; daughter, Susan Infante and husband Alex of Lakewood, Colo.; grandchildren, Andrew Watson of Maumelle, Spencer Watson of Little Rock, and Isabella, Alejandra and Olivia Infante of Denver; and great-grandchild, Dixie Watson of Little Rock. Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 9 a.m at First Baptist Church of Maumelle followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
