Leachel Mae Porter

Leachel Mae Selvidge Porter, age 87, of Searcy went to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 16, 2011. She was born July 10, 1923 to John and Vida Hare Selvidge of Rose Bud, Arkansas. Leachel is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Porter, Jr., two brothers, Floyd and Junior Selvidge ; three sisters; Marie Bailey ,Bernice Nelson and Geraldine Childers. She is survived by three sons, Windle (Bonita )Porter of Griffithville, Randolph (Sue) Porter of Romance, and Jimmy (Donna ) Porter of Rose Bud and one daughter Wilma (Larry) McConnaughhay of Cabot. 7 grandchildren; John Wayne Porter, Debbie Porter Peters, Brenda Porter Hambrick, Sandi McConnaughhay Merrow, Johnie McConnaughhay, DeAnna Porter Slatton and Randy Wayne Porter; 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family members. She was a member of Whitney Lane Family Worship Center at Kensett. Visitation will be 9 until 10 a.m. prior to the service at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted 10 a.m., Friday March 18, 2011 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Raney officiating. Interment will follow at Sidon Cemetery.
