Alfred Earl Franks, Jr.

Alfred Earl Franks, Jr., 57, of Austin died Monday, March 28, 2011. He was born April 29, 1953 to the late Alfred Earl Franks, Sr. and Gloria Franks Long. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Roy Long. Mr. Franks was a member of Indian Head Baptist Church and a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved gardening and anything outdoors. He is survived by four sisters, Gloria Howell (Billy), Glenda Mayo (Dave), Nina Davis (Dave) and Leann Long; and two brothers, Alvin Franks (Lawanda) and David Derusse (Joyce). Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Brother Mike Bowien officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
