MARY LEE HOLLINGSHEAD JONES, 84, of Jacksonville, went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 29, 2011. She was born Feb. 22, 1927 to the late Thomas and Gertrude Hollingshead in Sidon, Ark. She retired from Franklin Electric in Jacksonville. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Jacksonville for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved nothing more than feeding and being near all her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wiley C. Jones; two sisters, Lois Tapp and Hazel White; two brothers, Richard Hollingshead and James (Son) Hollingshead. She is survived by two sons, Spike Jones and John (Karen) Jones; three daughters, Shirlyn (Don) Russell, Patsy (Steve) Miller, and Barbara (Stan) Forshee; nine grandchildren, Charlie Jones, Greg and Ashley Jones, Stephanie and Mike Russell, Brian Miller, Amy Goode, Christie Reddin and Ryan Forshee, and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Moye and Velvalene Horton, one brother, Bud Ray Hollingshead; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.
