Sharon Kay Tedford

Sharon Kay (Talley) Tedford, 61, of Sherwood, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011. Born in Little Rock on November 17, 1949, to Chester and Virginia Talley, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Jason Tedford of Little Rock, her brother, Larry Talley previously of Dallas, Texas, her sister, Frances Carroll (husband Bob) of Southaven, Miss., as well as her glorious six year-old granddaughter, Cameron Grace Tedford, and Cameron's mother, Dana Gullett Wooding of Sherwood. She also leaves to cherish her memory many devoted lifelong friends and caring City Of North Little Rock co-workers, where she served as Administrative Assistant to Mayor Patrick Hayes until her recent retirement. A graduate of North Little Rock High School in 1967, Sharon also attended the University Of Arkansas at Little Rock. Entombment will follow a graveside memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th, at the outdoor chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park located at 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. 72117, with family receiving friends at Sharon's home in Sherwood in the afternoon following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, NLR 72116, or the Pulaski County Humane Society, both of whose services reflect the care and compassion characteristic of Sharon's own loving nature.
