Susan Brown, age 49, of Belton, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her residence. A service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at First Baptist Church of Kilbourne, Louisiana with burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at First Baptist Church in Kilbourne. Miss Brown was born on October 31, 1962 in Greenville, Mississippi to Johnie and Mary Dell (Jackson) Brown. She graduated from Kilbourne High School in 1981 and received an Associate Degree in Arts from Copiah Lincoln Jr. College in 1983. She received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education graduating Magna Cum Laude from Ouachita Baptist College in 1985 and in 1989 she received her Master's Degree in Education from Northeast Louisiana University. She was employed as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resource Services for Round Rock, Texas ISD for six years retiring in May, 2011. She had been a resident of Belton for the past 15 years. She was a member of Temple Bible Church, Pink Pink Rose, Texas Association of School Boards, Women of the Moose International, TASPA, SHRM, TASA and AASPA. Survivors include her parents, Johnie and Mary Dell Brown of Eudora, Arkansas, five brothers, Billy Brown of Eudora, John Brown and wife, Sandy of Brookshire, Texas, Tommy Brown and wife, Rhonda of Eudora, James Brown and wife, Jolene of Eudora and Carl Brown of Eudora and three sisters, Mary Huff and Hazel Brown both of Eudora and Lois Ashley and husband, David of Kilbourne. Also surviving is a very special friend and caregiver, Michelle Womack of Belton, a host of blessings, her wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
