Vilma Katherine Williams

Vilma Katherine Williams age 81, of Cabot, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 2, 2011. She was born July 20, 1930 in McAdoo, Pennsylvania to the late Michael and Theresa Buckery. She was a Graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were she earned her nursing degree. She worked for Johns Hopkins in Maryland and also served in the United States Air Force as a nurse. She retired in 1990 from the VA Medical Center in Little Rock after 20 years. She has been a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church since 1971. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael and sister Regina. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Harrison Williams, five children; John Williams and his wife Karen, Dr. Thomas Williams and his wife Lori, Michael Williams, Karen Williams West and her husband Neil, Kevin Williams and his wife Melanie, a sister, Theresa Buckery, four grandchildren; Joseph Humphreys, Ryan Williams, Emily West, and Haley Williams. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and a Rosary at 6 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville with Father Andy Smith officiating.
