Nell Dean-Kennett, 89, of Conway, went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2011. She was born January 7, 1922, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Jack and Ruby Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William "Buddy" Dean and her husband of 3 years, Floyd Kennett, and by her grandmother, Emmalou Walker, who raised her. She is survived by her son, William "Pete" Dean and wife Kathy of Little Rock; daughter, Rebecca McLaughlin and husband Bud of Conway; six grandchildren, Charles Williams and wife Trish, Nick Dean and wife Linda, Chad Williams, Dr. Brandy Dean and husband Chris, Leslie Nutt and husband Don, Glenn Watkins, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, Bailey Dean, Xander Williams and Sloane Nutt. She was very active in her church, loved to bake, fish, crafts, most of all she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending the USS Bambridge WWII reunions. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, at the Little Rock National Cemetery with Rev. Debbie Spangler officiating. Visitation was Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, 501-327-5000.
