Elaine Smith McHan Benton

ELAINE SMITH MCCHAN BENTON, 55, of Little Rock, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011. She was born June 8, 1956, in Crescent City, Calif., daughter of Ralph and Martha Tully Smith of Pine Bluff. Elaine was reared and received her early education in White Hall, graduating from White Hall High School. She attended SEARK College. She worked for Friday, Eldredge, and Clark LLP., in Little Rock, as a legal secretary. Elaine was a member of East Side Pentecostal Church of God in Pine Bluff. Other survivors include her husband, Larry Benton of Little Rock; daughter, Lesley McAfee of Little Rock; two sons, Brandon Shawn McHan and Jeffrey Todd McHan of Pine Bluff; brother, Larry Wayne Smith of Pine Bluff; and two grandchildren, Lillith May McAfee and Aiden Shawn McHan. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, with Brother Thomas Shipley officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Memorial Gardens.
