Ellen Annette Fry

Ellen Annette Fry, 55, of Cabot, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011. She was born Nov. 14, 1955, in Campbell, Mo. She was a loving mother with a quick wit and a heart that cared for others that could not care for themselves. She served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Ellen also served as the camp coordinator for JCA (Just Communities of Arkansas) and worked for racial equality throughout public schools. She was preceded in death by her father, Dallas Russom. Ellen is survived by her mother, Hortense Russom of Campbell, Mo., her two sons, Jacob Michael Alanis of Glendale, Az., and Brandon Louis Alanis of Cabot, Ark., and her two siblings, Dale Russom of Vilonia, Ark., and Linda Herr of Seattle, Wash. The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, from 5 -6 p.m., in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Services will follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel, with Jason Merrick officiating.
