Dora Emogene Beaty, 85, of Conway, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011. She was born Aug. 15, 1926 in Greenbrier, Ark., to the late James Gould and Iva Belle Vanpelt. Dora was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Leo "Red" Beaty; two sons, Geary and Kenny Beaty. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Central Baptist Church in Conway. Dora was employed at International Shoe Company for 10 years and retired from Kimberly Clark after 10 years. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, and collecting dolls. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time working on the family tree. Dora also enjoyed going to the rodeo and watching her children and grandchildren perform. She was a very kind person and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Dora is survived by three sons, Ted Beaty and wife Tammy of Conway, Jimmy Lynn Beaty and wife Sheila of Greenbrier, and Kerry Wayne "Butch" Beaty and wife Stephanie of Conway; two daughters, Amber Wallace and Debbie Miller and husband Scott, all of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Kelly, Blair, Kenny, Heath, Cody, Heather, Adam, Clint, Morgan, Abigail, Tiffany, and Angie; 11 great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Imogene Pearce, and Carolyn Vanpelt. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501-327-7727), with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
