Alfred Curtis Edwards Jr., 86, of Conway, passed away October 7, 2011. He was born March 15, 1925, in Little Rock, to the late Alfred Curtis and Florence (Davis) Edwards. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Army Air Corps. He was retired from the FAA and was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Mr. Edwards enjoyed traveling, woodworking and camping and was a devoted family man. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ava L. Edwards; four children, Alfred C. Edwards, III (Janis), Richard C. Edwards (Aya), Sherry L. Edwards-Haymans (Branch Haymans) and David L. Edwards; six grandchildren, Terri, Tyler, Madison, Christine, Parker and Morgan; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Mr. Edwards' funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2011, in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
