John Claude Scarborough

Our special son, John Claude Scarborough, 16, of Cabot went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 8, 2011. He was born June 12, 1995 in Jacksonville to John Dow and Tammie Terrell Etchison Scarborough. John Claude was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and also attended Cabot United Methodist Church. He attended Cabot High School where he was currently in the tenth grade. John Claude loved unconditionally and never met a stranger, greeting them with a high five and asking "whatcha doin?" It was said that John Claude was put here on earth to teach us all how to love unconditionally and that he was the better part of all of us. He was perfect in his imperfect body. John Claude was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Clarence and Marie Etchison and Mervin March. In addition to his parents, John Claude is survived by his brothers; Christopher James Etchison Scarborough and his wife, Amber of Des Moines, Iowa and Cordell Robert Scarborough of Cabot as well as his paternal grandparents, John M. and Claudia Scarborough of Bolton, Mississippi, his maternal grandparents, Robert and Julie Etchison of Burlington, Iowa, his maternal great grandmother, Lucia March of Sioux City, Iowa. He is also survived by aunts and uncles; Theresa and Ricky McPhail, Lydia Mitchell, Anna and Gregg Mandsager, Jason and Wendy Etchison and Chadwick and Jill Etchison and countless cousins. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Cabot United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
