Amelia Trevino Frazier, 66, of Benton, passed away Oct. 26, 2011, at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born June 8, 1945, in Pearsall, Texas, to Fortunado Trevino and Teodora Cortez. Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers. Amelia retired from Unilever Bestfoods in Little Rock after 20 years of service. She also served with the US Army Dental Corps during the Vietnam era. She spent most of her time giving to others and volunteering, and had an unconditional love for animals. In 2010, she was featured in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for donating critical lifesaving equipment to the Benton Fire Department. The first of its kind in the state, the equipment enabled firefighters to provide oxygen to animals caught in house fires. She frequently donated to numerous charities, her favorite being the Human Society of the United States. Amelia was an incredibly selfless and generous person, and her life set an example of what it truly means to live for others. She was a member of Midtowne Church and a lifelong follower of Christ. Amelia loved shopping, reading, cooking, and painting. She left us unexpectedly but was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her son, John Randy Crone Jr., of Conway; daughter, Deborah Warford and husband Shane, of Benton; granddaughter, Casey Procop and husband, Joe, of Benton; sister, Loyda Trevino, of Pearsall, Texas; and brothers, Rafael Trevino, of Los Banos, Calif., and Roberto Trevino, of Los Angeles, Calif. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at Midtowne Church with Pastor Doug Pruitt officiating. Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Saline County Humane Society, P.O. Box 305, Benton, Ark., 72018, or the Benton Senior Activity Center, 210 Jefferson Street, Benton, Ark., 72015.
