Edgar Anderson

Edgar Anderson, age 86, of Camden, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at his home. He was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Wilmar, Ark. He was an Army Air Corp. Veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of U of A, with an MSBE in mechanical engineering and an avid Razorback fan. Mr. Anderson retired from International Paper Company in 1985, as an assistant power plant superintendent. Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Anderson Cobb; parents, Rolph and Etta Torian Anderson; brother, Cecil Anderson; and sister, Ida Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wanda Anderson; daughter, Sylvia Anderson Wray; grandson, Nathaniel Anderson Wray, all of Camden; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at St. Mark United Methodist Church, with burial 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Deann Cemetery in Prescott. Rev. Bryan Diffee and Rev. Bill Fish will officiate the services. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, until service time at the church. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
