Mary Lena Smith

Mary Lena Smith, age 80, of Dardanelle, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born Jan. 27, 1931, at Little Rock, to the late Claude Alfred and Mary Edison Johnson WaWak. She was a member of the Russellville Christian Center and she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Ray Smith; and a son, Kent Smith. Survivors include four sons; and daughters-in-law, Steve and Rhonda Smith, of Lake Jackson, Texas, Robert and Judy Smith, of Dardanelle, Sherman and Bridget Smith, of Russellville, Keith and Nettie Smith, of Nashville; one brother, Claud Alfred WaWak Jr., of Redfield, Ark.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Monday, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
