Kathyleen Harrison Brown

Kathyleen Harrison Brown of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 20, 1925 in Dallas County, Arkansas, near Princeton, the daughter of the late John L. and Bessie Garrison Harrison. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. In years past, Mrs. Brown enjoyed gardening and canning what she grew. She was well known for her fried apple pies. She also liked to quilt, spend time at deer camp and was known as quite a jokester. Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her home in Sheridan, surrounded by her family, at the age of 86. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny; sister, Sudi Ruth, and twin sister Evyleen, as well as two grandchildren, Shannon and Wendy Brown. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John Olen Brown Sr.; five children, Ronnie Brown (Sue), Doris Brown, Dan Brown (Frieda), John O. Brown Jr. (Sherri), Harlan Brown (Brenda); Grandchildren, Janie, Ronnie Jr., Wilburn, Lorie, Ann, Stacy, Gary, Shannon, Faith, Wendy, Amy, Angie, Jason, Chris, Jeremy; 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with her son, Bro. John O. Brown Jr., Bro. Vance Nutt and Bro. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation: 5-7 p.m., Wednesday.
