Evelyn Louise Turney

Evelyn Louise Turney, 91, of McGehee passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2011 at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas Ark. She loved and was a huge fan of Razorback football and tailgating, proud of the Razorback Foundation, and a supporter of the Sheriff Ranch. Mrs. Turney was born to the late Talbert and Pernie Crider on Dec. 29, 1919 in Quitman, Ark. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her husband Dr. L. R. Turney, seven brothers, and one sister. She is survived by a son, Bill Turney of McGehee, a daughter, Dr. Ellen Turney of Conway, and a sister, Mary Wilson of Conway. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at First Baptist Church in McGehee, Ark. Burial will be 3 p.m. at Center Point Cemetery in Quitman, Ark. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at Griffin Funeral Service.
