April Phillips Rush, went to be with Jesus on September 27, 2011. April made life exciting. Her friends all attest that their lives are richer because of her wisdom and hospitality. Family and friends describe April as kind, strong, positive, supportive, and faithful. April lived her life as if it were not her own. She daily died to herself and lived for her Savior, which resulted in her deep love for serving her family and friends. April graduated Hall High School (1964) and attended the University of Arkansas where she was a Pi Beta Phi. April served constantly at the side of her late husband Bill Rush at Rush Engine, Triumph of Arkansas, and Rush Evans Construction. Many in Little Rock express how God changed their lives through Bill and April's ministry during the 30 years they served with BSF, CBS, and Fellowship Bible Church. April was famous for the way she loved her husband and their two daughters. Survived by her mother Mary Ann Phillips; two daughters, Leigh Ann (Craig) Evans and Lindy (Chuck) Gschwend; sister Claudia (Larry) Parks; grandchildren, Grace Anne, Rush and Andrew Evans, Charlie, Billy and Kate Gschwend. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill and her father, Lee Phillips.
