Effie Mae Phillips Burrow, 93, of Little Rock, passed away September 27, 2011. She was born in Little Rock to John Burris Phillips and Ollie Stanford Phillips and was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church and the Keenagers Seniors Group. She was also a member of AARP. She retired from nursing at Baptist Hospital after 20 years of service. Effie loved bowling, fishing and gardening and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Allen Autry Burrow, she is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Mallett and husband, Norman and Janice Burris and husband, Ronald, all of Little Rock; brother, Michael Phillips of Sherwood, three grandchildren, Nancy Mallett Hyde, Randy Burris and Missy Roling (Robert); and three great-grandchildren, Savannah Hyde, and Oliver and Lucas Roling. Services will be held today, Thursday, September 29 at 2 p.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Paul Sanders and Rev. John Perkins. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. The family will greet friends at the church beginning at 1 p.m. until service time.
