Elliott Bechtel

Elliott Bechtel, Venice, Fla., formerly from Easton, Conn. & Little Rock, Ark. died on September 27, 2011. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, a member of the Board of Directors of the AR Tennis Assoc. & very active in tennis, sailing and flying all his life. He was a proud First Lieutenant in the USAF during the Korean War, retired plant mgr. for Remington Arms and ran a yacht charter business in the Caribbean & lived on his sailboat for seven years with Joan. Survivors are: his wife, Joan, daughters, Robin Bechtel and Amy Winter, sister, Gloria Gorby and granddaughter, Samantha Winter. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Plantation Community Foundation or Tidewell Hospice, Venice, Fla.
