Cheryl Yvonne Mitchell

Cheryl Yvonne Bright Mitchell 54, of Little Rock, Arkansas departed this life peacefully on March 29, 2012. Cheryl was a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the Little Rock School District for 15 years. She dedicated her time and life to helping children to be their best during school and after hours. She was a member of LREA, AEA, and NEA for 15 years. Cheryl was also serving on the LREA Executive Board as an Elementary Teacher Board Member, and previously served as a LREA Building Representative. She was a LREA delegate to the National Education Association Representative Assembly for the past several years, and was recently elected to attend the 2012 Representative Assembly in Washington, DC. She also represented LREA as a Teacher member at the NEA Education Support Professionals Conference in March 2012. Her loving survivors include: husband, Alfred "Lynn" Mitchell of Little Rock, Ark.; four sons, Jackie Earl Warren (Stacie) of Missouri, Lynn "Raz"Jaraze Mitchell (Nina) of Michigan, Shannon Odale Hall (Angela) of Kentucky and Sean Hall of Little Rock, Ark.; her loving mother in law, Elizabeth Mitchell of Little Rock; sister, Renee Page of Canada; nine grandchildren; a special cousin, Deborah Thornton; and a host of loving relatives and special friends. Home going services will be Saturday, April 7, 2012, 11 a.m., at Damascus Spiritual Church, 2401 East Washington Ave., North Little Rock, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, NLR, Ark. Family Visitation: Friday, April 6, 2012, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 South Chester St. Little Rock, Ark.
