Robert Lee Fikes Jr.

Robert Lee Fikes Jr. passed away Monday, April 2nd , 2012 in Little Rock, Arkansas. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends, Rob had touched in many ways throughout his life. Rob's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by him, understand that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around. Rob was born to Robert Lee Fikes, Sr. and the late Beverly Ann Hopkins Fikes on March 29th, 1959 in Commerce, Texas. Rob grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas where he spent most of his life. He married his lifelong love Sterling Adkisson and worked as Vice President of Finance for Crews and Associates. Rob is survived by his father Robert Lee Fikes, Sr. and his step-mother June Fikes, his wife Sterling Fikes and son Stephen Lee Fikes. He also leaves his sisters Katherine Claire Fikes and Lee Ann Dedmon, and his brother David Tschopik Fikes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ann Hopkins Fikes, his paternal grandparents Oscar and Edith Fikes, his maternal grandparents David and Marie Hopkins, and his uncle Tommy Hopkins. The family would like to thank Dr. Brad P. Baltz for his excellent care. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Hancock officiating. A private family burial will be held prior to the Memorial Service.
